Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the alleged sex video of the Grey’s Anatomy actor Eric Dane, his wife Noxzema Girl Rebecca Gayheart and for Ms. Teen USA Kari Anne Peniche.

It has been said that the video leaked was caused by Peniche’s friend Mindy McCready…

“On July 30, 2009, an unnamed source provided the LAPD’s Detective Support and Vice Division with a copy of a DVD. According to the source, the DVD contained images that could link celebrities engaging in illegal activity,” the department said in a statement Wednesday.

“The LAPD was in the process of reviewing the voluminous files contained on the DVD when the story was leaked to the media. No determination has been made as to whether or not the DVD contained any information that could be used for a criminal investigation,” the press release continued. “Some of the information contained on the DVD included archived articles and photographs of porn stars and formally convicted madams, which could readily be found over the Internet.”

“The LAPD will continue to review the DVD for potential evidence. Therefore, additional information about the contents of the DVD will be treated as confidential.”

With the recent leaked of Dr. McSteamy’s or Eric Dane’s sex video, Kari Anne Paniche accuses Mindy McCready of stealing and selling the video. According to Ms. Teen USA winner that Mindy hijacked her hard drive.

On the other hand, Eric and Rebecca have consulted their attorney for some legal actions on the incident.

“This is simply a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public.” Marty Singer.

“Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a ’sex tape.’ It is a private tape made for only my clients’ personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it. If anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients’ rights and will be exposed to significant liability,” Martin Singer, attorney for Dane and Gayheart, said in a statement late Monday.
