After the Twilight series, Taylor Lautner is heading to a new role.

Taylor Lautner has been casted as Stretch Armstrong – one of the 70s Action Figure, one of the Box Office Project of Universal Studios. This is one of the series that Taylor will be doing for the said project that will be targeted on March 2012 in 3D.

“In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power,” Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley said in a statement Saturday. “We couldn’t be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch.”
