Michael Jackson’s physician, Dr. Murray turns himself in to surrender and face involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of the King of Pop.

Dr. Murray was spotted arriving at the courthouse near the Los Angeles International Airport to face the said charges.

The Houston physician was hired by Michael Jackson to check on his health for the strenuous series of comeback performances at London’s O2 Arena last summer. He is believed to have given Jackson an overdose prescription of Propofol to treat the singers insomnia.

The court alleges Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson…in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

In medical analysis, Propofol is used as hospital-strength anesthetic. This is unusual prescribed just to help Michael to sleep.

Here’s the LA County coroners report obtained by TMZ:

1. Circumstances indicate the Propofol and the benzodiazepines were administered by another.
2. Propofol was administered in a non-hospital setting without any appropriate medical indication.
3. The standard of care for administering Propofol was not met. Recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was not present.
4. The circumstances do not support self-administration of Propofol.
